Pokémon Go Buddy Up 2020 event guide: A field study and rewards

Pokémon Go is hosting a Pokémon friend celebration event from April 21 at 8 am until April 27 at 10 am. in your local time.

Bonuses include double XP for appearances with Pokémon and buddy pies that come in half the normal range. Buddy Pokémon will also bring more gifts and stick to a double space in the regular season after feeding on Berries or Poffins.

Alolan Meowth, Eevee, Feebas, Lillipup, Joltik, Illumise, and Volbeat will also be up from five miles away. All these Pokémon except Feebas will also be spread in the wild. Chansey will also disperse more often, so it's a good time to try and get enough candy with Blissey, if you still need it.

Illumise and Volbeat are usually migratory Pokémon, but they appear everywhere in every event. And they'll be blooming Shiny for the first time.

There is also a Field Research for this event that rewards some of the legendary Pokémon.

There will be an Abra Community Day on April 25, which continues with the event. Using Lucky's eggs as you adjust the Abra tone will give you a XP amount of sugar when you're in level 40.
