In a matter of weeks, people everywhere could submit votes to the Google tournament aimed at finding out that Pokémon of the year. On Thursday, the top 10 publishers were announced – and Greninja won. But it's not that we're here. The real news lies with Mimikyu, who came in third place.
Pokémon aficionados may remember that all of Mimikyu's presence is around Pikachu. The ghost-type creature wears old ravens like the Pokémon mascot because it, too, wants to be loved as much as people like Pikachu. When this was first announced, the lore favors everyone Mimikyu – who doesn't understand feeling low?
But today, I'm happy to report that Mimikyu is not as popular as Pikachu. Now we have proof that Mimikyu is popular More than Pikachu, at least 2020. Pikachu, who stars in the big moving picture with name to the title less than a year ago, it doesn't even appear in the top 10!
