Sony next generation console, the PlayStation 5, will launch later this holiday. While we do not have an official release date or price for the new console, Sony and third party publishers have confirmed a long list of games coming to PS5 this year and beyond.
Many standard PlayStation will continue on PlayStation 5, including Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo, and Horizon. And many of the current generation games coming to PlayStation 4 (and other platforms) will be available on PS5, with engineers like CD Projekt Red and Ubisoft releasing free updates to PS4 games to take advantage of the powerful PS5.
There is still a lot of uncertainty when it comes to PS5 games, especially in terms of how games released on PS4 will be passed on to the next generation PlayStation. Some will get free upgrades, while others may get the PS5 stand-alone release. Other PS4 games – but not all? – will be played on PS5 in conjunction with the return.
Here is a list of games we know are coming to PlayStation 5.

Games from first-team studios include sequels, such as Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7. The PS5’s special feature list includes a remake of the PlayStation 3 game Spirits of Demons and 2018’s follow-up Marvel’s Spider-Man Starring Miles Morales.
