scream 6 promises two things: a New York setting – a fresh setting for the franchise, well that Scream Survivors Mindy, Chad and Tara have moved far from Woodsboro, California, to attend college — and new rules. While changing the locale in the is noticeable scream 6 Trailer for exactly how directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will be playing around with the long-established rules of scream movies this time around isn’t revealed in our new look at the meta-slasher film.

Courteney Cox from the long-running series is back as Gale Weathers, as is Hayden Panettiere, who reprises her role as Kirby Reed scream 4

Also included scream 6 are series newcomers Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Samara weaving (Ready or Not) and Dermot Mulroney (TV’s The purge), who plays a New York City cop who might be overwhelmed when it comes to the Ghostface murders, but isn’t afraid to charge the city overtime to get the job done!
scream 6 takes place about a year after the events of Scream (5). It hits theaters on March 10th.
