Simosiwak Shrine Walkthrough
This shrine is a “Proving Grounds” challenge, so your gear will be stripped from the start. As if losing your clothing and armor wasn’t enough, the Simosiwak Shrine also plunges you into almost total darkness. I guess that’s why this test is called Lights Out, right?
1. Go down the small stairs and pick up two light shields and a wooden stick on your left. After this dimly lit opening space, you head into darkness. Press ZL to hold up your shield and let its light shine in front of you.
2. There is one Build on the left, shining his red-eyed ray into the darkness. It features its own light shield that shines in your eyes. It won’t be particularly aggressive, at least not until you attack. And you must: defeating the constructs is the way to solve this shrine.
3. A long stick and an old wooden sign are leaning against the wall next to this construct. Grab these and use them to defeat that first enemy. Grab his stuff and take this opportunity to do so fuse Attach the construct’s horn to one of the wooden sticks you picked up.
4. Proceed further into the darkness, looking for more constructs along the way. This isn’t a very big room and there are only two more constructs to fight, but you’re underarmed so be careful.
5. The next construct is a little further in the shrine and is stronger than the first. Crawl towards it to land insidious If you can. It features a Flameblast Mace, which we avoided flaming by parrying and using Flurry Rush. By the way, there are two Flame Emitter devices nearby, in corners next to where this construct patrols. We attached both devices to wooden sticks.
6. In the dark, look around for a staircase and go up to the last construct in the room. Again if you can be stealthy and insidious, that will avert a lot of damage. This construct will shoot at you with a fireball firestick; it is also surrounded by three rubies. Once you defeat this last construct, the gates in the back of the room will open.
7. Go through the gate and open the chest, which contains: bright elixir this gives a glowing effect (very fitting for this shrine). After grabbing it, head forward to activate the seal and get one light of blessing.
