Tony made it easy to make a mark on the products they were using for games made by Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios with a new logo and a very short name: PlayStation Studios. On Tuesday the company introduced the trademark, which comes with a new animation that, yes, looks very similar to the Marvel Studios intro that plays before Marvel movies.
The opening thumbnails of PlayStation Studios show the characters of Tony – Nathan Drake of Unchnso, Aloy of Horizon Zero Dawn, Kratos from God of War, Ratchet and Clark, and others – showing 3D versions of triangles, circles, crosses and square icons.
According to a report from GamesIndustry.biz, a new PlayStation Studio installation will be launched along with PlayStation 5 this holiday season. The branding will be featured in games developed and managed by Sony Interactive Entertainment & # 39; s Worldwide Studios. Eric Lempel, senior president and head of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, tells Sports Industry that the photos (and his short versions) will appear before games with riders.
"We've been thinking about how we combine all these great games into one product, and the goal is to make consumers understand that, when they see the brand, they are ready for the strong, new, deep experience they expect in games from PlayStation," explains Lempel.
The PlayStation Studios logo will also be included in discs and game packs, Lempel said.
PlayStation Studios' new introduction & # 39; follows a similar effort by the Xbox team last year. Like the Marvel Studios intro (and now PlayStation Studios), Xbox Game Studios animated animated characters and images from 13 Microsoft game development studios.
