The best new Star Trek series just got even easier to watch: the first episode of Strange New WorldsSeason 2 is now available to stream for free on YouTube. The episode is available on the Paramount Plus YouTube channel, but it’s unclear how long it will run before it becomes a Paramount Plus exclusive again.
Strange New Worlds is a prequel to the original Star Trek series and tells the story of the USS Enterprise before James T. Kirk was in command. As opposed to something like Star Trek: Picard, Strange New Worlds remains mostly true to the episodic adventures that have helped keep the franchise fresh and entertaining.
The season premiere will be joined by the entire first season, which will air through June 30th. So even if you’ve never seen the series, you can jump in now and catch up on everything but the latest episode.
All of this could be a ploy by Paramount to attract more subscribers to Paramount Plus, the streaming service Strange New Worlds is actually airing, but at least it’s a pretty good movie that allows people to watch a lot of pretty good Star Trek movies for free.
