Bandai Namco’s incredible Stories from Games are currently on sale, but the incredible discounts on the nearly three-decade-old franchise end in less than twenty-four hours. The Stories from Franchise sales 2024 ends September 5th at 1:00 PM EST. The sale includes five of the seventeen main titles in the series, with each title featuring the best the series has to offer.
If you could only choose one, this might be the best game Stories from Arise. The latest game in the series, 2021’s Arise is an exemplary modern role-playing game. Set in a sprawling world that mixes medieval fantasy and science fiction, you gather a ragtag group of party members on a journey to end a seemingly endless war. Arise captures everything the series is known for: the story is a little cliched but well executed, with stunning emotional high points and delightful mysteries to unravel. The world is simply gorgeous to look at and explore, the real-time combat is fast and responsive, and the cast is truly wonderful.
Amazing casts are probably what people love most about the Stories from series, as each entry is full of interesting characters that you fall in love with over the course of dozens of hours. AriseThe cast of is particularly great as it portrays the slowly budding romance between the two main characters, Alphen and Shionne, who are on opposite sides of the massive conflict. The story of Arise is truly epic and deserves the long roleplay in which it is told.
If you prefer something classic, start with Stories from symphony. The 2003 title is widely considered the best game in the series, and even two decades later, it’s not hard to see why. Similar to Ariseit all comes down to an incredible cast of characters living in a fascinating world. Of course, the other three titles—Berseria, VesperiaAnd Zestiria—are not to be missed. Luckily, all five games cost just $34.95 during the Steam sale. As an added bonus, you can also Arise‘S Beyond the Dawn – DLC for PCwhich came out last year and serves as a fantastic sequel to the main game, costs $19.79. Overall, that’s still less than a modern AAA game and will keep you entertained for several hundred hours.
