The Starblade demo has been available since March 29th, and if you manage to beat it, your save data will carry over to the full game when it launches as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on April 26th. One thing that made me curious was “Skin-tight suit“, an outfit for the protagonist Eve where she essentially travels the world naked and makes the game much more challenging. Surprisingly, at least in the demo, it’s incredibly easy to unlock. So since I just learned how to get it, I thought I would teach you how to get it too. After all, sharing is important.

As we reported on March 14, Eve’s sexiest outfit has deadly consequences. The Skin Suit disables shields, meaning you will take twice as much damage as you normally would if she were wearing an outfit with a protective barrier. Game director Hyung-Tae Kim has Essentially, players were asked to equip clothing for Eve because “the game difficulty will increase dramatically” without it (similar to naked runs in a soulslike game like Elden Ring), but people in the Starblade Subreddit ignored the warning. As someone who has played through the demo a few times and found it pretty easy, I wanted to try it out with the skin suit to see if the game actually gets harder. And yes, I can confirm that I’ve been fucked in the ass a few times without clothes on.
Getting the skin suit is easy in the demo. Once you’ve launched it and gotten past the introductory cutscene, all you have to do is click the “Options” button on your DualSense. This will immediately bring up the equipment menu, which is perfect since this is where you want to be. From here, navigate down to the outdoor area, hover over the Planet Diving Suit (7th) outfit, press X to take it off, and voila! Acquired skin suit. I told you it was easy. Playing with it, however, is a different story.
I found that many of the enemies here were easy to deal with even without shields. Maybe it’s because their attack patterns are well known, or because I was already familiar with the bad guys thrown at me, but nothing really gave me much trouble – until I reached Abaddon, the final boss of the demo. That two-sword, pincer beetle-looking motherfucker trampled me about a dozen times before I defeated him. It almost didn’t matter how well I played, because I had nothing that could really mitigate the enormous damage Abaddon was doing. Even if you block you still lose a bit of health, and since the skin suit disables shields, I got physical. A lot. I fully understand that this is an outfit for the horniest sadist out there.

Some commenters on r/StellarBlade have said that they plan on playing through the game with just the skin suit, which is wild but not all that surprising, especially considering “legitimate strategy” to be naked. It’s a sexy outfit, even if it doesn’t necessarily leave much to the imagination. Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing how hard it gets Starblade will kill, with or without a skin suit, when it releases on April 26th. This day cannot come soon enough.
