Chun-Li has a fresh look for her next game, street fighter 6, Capcom revealed Thursday during PlayStation’s State of Play presentation. She also has a new English voiceover, courtesy of actress Jennie Kwan, who will replace veteran voice actress Laura Bailey in the role for the main series Street Fighter.
Capcom confirmed the change on official Street Fighter websiteas well as Kwan-in a post on Instagram. “It’s official!! FINALLY I can announce that I’m the voice of CHUN-LI in street fighter 6!!” said Kun. “So grateful to be a part of this iconic series.”
A Filipino American actress, Kwan is probably best known for her role as Suki in Avatar: The Last Airbender
Actor Kyle Hebert will return to tune in to Ryu street fighter 6a role he has had ever since street fighter 4. I agree with Hebert and Kwan SF6 are Aleks Le as Luke and Stephen Fu as Jamie.
Polygon has reached out to Capcom for comment on Chun-Li’s new voice actor and will update when the company responds.
