The Star Wars galaxy is famous for its planets with a single identifiable environmental feature. There’s Tatooine, the desert planet; Hoth, the snow planet; Kamino, the water planet; and Mustafar, the fire and lava planet. Thanks to Star Wars OutlawsStar Wars, Ubisoft’s open-world villain adventure game, now has a wind planet.
Toshara is an all new location making its debut Star Wars Outlaws, designed in collaboration between Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment and Lucasfilm. Toshara is covered in windswept plains inspired by the African savannah, developers say in a new behind-the-scenes video, and the planet’s geography is literally shaped by its ever-present blustery breezes. This includes the striking town of Murugana, a settlement built into a huge rock sculpted by millennia of wind gusts.
wind is The characteristic of Toshara, and Lucasfilm and Massive seem to take it very seriously. The developers are incorporating the planetary rule into Toshara’s flora, fauna and economy with a single environment that permeates much of the Star Wars galaxy – it seems Tosharans use dragons as a sort of farming mechanism. One can only assume that Murugana’s local windbreaker retailers run gangster deals.
Star Wars Outlaws The protagonist, Kay Vess, will apparently spend a lot of time on Toshara with her curls blowing in the wind. The 10-minute gameplay preview Massive showed at Ubisoft Forward in June was mostly set there; Here Kay finds himself at odds with Imperial officers after a run-in with a local crime syndicate.
If you prefer to stay on the beaten track with Star Wars, don’t worry: you can explore the sandy expanses of Tatooine Star Wars Outlaws, to. Obviously, Kay will meet up with none other than local gangster Jabba the Hutt while fraternizing with the scum and villainy of the Star Wars underworld.
Star Wars Outlaws Slated to release sometime in 2024 on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
