Today, This was announced by the London City Police They arrested a 17-year-old from Oxfordshire on Thursday evening. While police have yet to confirm the reason, it has been reported that the teenager was arrested in connection with the recent Uber and Grand Theft Auto VI leaks. The suspect is currently in the custody of the Metropolitan Police.
As reported by The desk and reporter Matthew Keys the arrest of the alleged 17-year-old GTA Hacking by police in the UK was part of an investigation carried out by the FBI and the UK’s Cyber Crime Unit. It had previously been reported that the FBI was likely investigating the recent hacks at Uber and Rockstar Games.
A source tells The desk that the teenager is being held on numerous charges, including conspiring to attack at least two different computer systems.
The teenage hacker arrested in Oxfordshire on Thursday night is believed to be linked to the hacking group.Laspus$.This group of hackers is also allegedly involved in high-profile digital incursions at other major companies, including Uber, Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, Nvidia, and Okta. The group first emerged in 2021 and hacked the Brazilian Ministry of Health. The group was thought to have gone dormant, but earlier this month it reportedly ramped up its activity again, targeting Uber and Rockstar Games.
