The Sims 4 receives a free new update for the base game as well as new paid DLCs that Electronic Arts and Maxis Studios announced in a press release on Tuesday. The update, which was rolled out on Tuesday, introduces missions called “Scenarios” that allow fans to play through “goal-based stories” with their Sims, according to the release. The new paid – and all of its lush greens – will be released on November 9th.
Scenarios are situations in which players “can choose to participate and work towards a result for their Sims,” according to the developer. The results will vary depending on how you work through a scenario. So it’s up to you to figure out how you want to solve the story.
The developer will continue to release new scenarios over time, each one being inspired by different themes and styles. With Tuesday’s update, two new scenarios were introduced: “Make Money”, in which you have to earn a million Simoleons, and “Find Love After a Breakup,” in which you play agent for your Sims. These two stories run Tuesday through November 6th.
In the Blooming Rooms Kit DLC you don’t need a green thumb to grow, just a home that you want to fill with beautiful baby plants. A picture from the developers shows all kinds of foliage like ferns, spider plants, and cascading vines that you can use to frame your windows. The kit will be released on November 9th for Mac OS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
