Hello everyone and welcome to this year’s Shop Contest Awards. This year, like last year, we’re going to look back at the best, worst, funniest, and weirdest pictures you all have created over the course of 2020. And as always, I’ll be giving out some awards!
No, these awards are not referred to as “Shoppies”. Stop trying to make this a thing. 2020 is over too. Hooray. While I understand that 2021 will likely be just as bad, at least I am optimistic that it won’t get any worse. It can not be. It can?

I hate that Sonic has become an unofficial mascot for my era of ‘shop contest’. That fact will haunt me for the rest of my life and will be a low point in my career. Anyway, here are some Sonic pics … you bastards.

The worst picture of 2020 was hard to find. Then I came across this thing from the Speaking Simulator contest that I didn’t judge, so I barely remembered it. But now I wish I could forget Take your prize Sciteach!

I looked back at last year’s Shop Contest Awards and found myself mentioning how bad 2019 was for people and boys. Didn’t I have any idea what was coming in 2020 for all of us? Anyway, here are the funniest pics of 2020!

The most impressive creations
I get great pictures every week. But sometimes I get images that look so good and impressive that I feel inspired to make my own Photoshop creations better. These pictures don’t always win, so I wanted to present some of them here.

Now the final award. The big winner! The best of the best. To select this image, I went back and looked at each of the previous 2020 winners. Then I spent more time than you mightThink about how funny it was, how good it looked, and whether it had Sonic or Limp Bizkit pictures.

Congratulations to Punxsutawneyphil! The ridiculous concept of Mr. Peanut dying and increasing the action to 11 was perfect. A great picture. It’s also wild for me that this picture was created this year. 2020 seems to have been a decade.
This is the end! What did we learn after a year of competitions? We now know that many of you are still into Sonic. For some reason, Limp Bizkit is now a thing too, thanks for that bob. We also had fun together (almost) every weekend, even though the world seemed to be falling apart around us. We even joked about how crazy and insane things got.
These ‘Shop Contest entries are not the easiest thing to put together every weekend, but I have no intention of ending things now. They are always a beautiful ray of hope, no matter how bleak the weekend feels. So thanks for all the laughs and smiles!
Let’s hope 2021 brings us even more great Photoshop contests and fewer deadly viruses.
