Similar to the zombies – er, sorry walker – It’s about, The walking dead Franchise will never die. But now let’s focus on that The ones who live — In this case specifically Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in their new spin-off series.
That’s right! After his presumed death at the end of season nine (and a brief appearance in the show’s final season), Rick is back!
If you’re keeping track, this would be the sixth spin-off show Fear the walking death, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead CityAnd The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
AMC designed The ones who live as well as everything about Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira) and their love story. As the official description says:
The Walking Dead: Those Who Live presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept separated by distance. By an unstoppable force. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world based on a war against the dead… and ultimately a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation they’ve never known before? Are they enemies? Lover? The victims? Winner? Are they even alive without each other – or will they discover that they too are the Walking Dead?
Yikes! Good news: Terry O’Quinn (Lost) is there.
The show will continue at some point after the two leave The walking dead. In the series’ 10th season, Michonne separated from the main group to search for Rick after she found his boots on an island and a drawing of herself and Rick’s daughter scratched on the back of an iPhone. The iPhone appears briefly in the trailer, although the majority of the trailer consists of lovers doing cool, badass zombie killings.
The ones who live Premiering February 25 on AMC and AMC Plus.
