Nintendo recently started taking pre-orders for Switch 2 games via the online shop, which matched the opening of Switch 2-console pre-orders. Out of habit, I immediately scroll into the “game file size” section on each side to see how much memory is required for every game. Some Switch 2 game file sizes are larger than I expected and the Windows PC counterparts were closer to the original Switch ports.
This makes sense because the upcoming console of Nintendo is powerful enough to lead games at 1080p and beyond. And yet only a handful of games last to fill your Switch 2 256 GB memory completely. Here are some file sizes for the upcoming switch 2 ports:
All of these games are a little more than 300 GB – now you need a MicroSD Express card.
It may seem crazy to buy add-on storage for a console that you don't yet own, but we think it is wise to grasp the largest microSD express card you can afford for use in Switch 2. Note: Your old microSD cards are not compatible with the Switch 2 for everything you can see on screenshots and video clips that you have recorded on an original switch.
