Well folks, he did it. Little Tsuboi, the famous elden ring Hero we met as “Let Me Solo Her”.,” has beaten up one of Lands Between’s toughest bosses more times than you or I ever could. In fact, on May 10th, LMSH took to YouTube to live stream himself killing the red-haired goddess Malenia, Blade of Miquela for the 1000th time in front of thousands of spectators. It’s a cool moment, full of admiration and praise from fans that made him a celebrity.
Tsuboi became known in r/Elden Ringthe subreddit dedicated to the latest versions of FromSoftware souls RPG, last April. He became the Tainted One to watch after demonstrating his skills in destroying Malenia, an optional boss that many players often struggle to face alone. elden ring offers online co-op, you know, and one day a fan randomly summoned a naked boy with a glass on his head and a katana in each hand. This mysterious figure then single-handedly dragged the infamous boss to Hell, and the account went so viral that Tsuboi has amassed full-blown Stans. These followers consider him so iconic that someone has since modded his Tarnished into the PC version of the game as a a summonable spirit ash
Now that I’ve been relentlessly beating up Malenia ever since elden ring Released on February 25th, Tsuboi live streamed his latest feat: he counts his Malenia kills up to 1000, starting at 981. You have to see it seriously to believe it.
Every kill started the same. Tsuboi sprayed his summoning mark on the floor of the legendary dungeon Elphael, Bracket of Haligtree– Malenia’s final resting place – and waited for a struggling Tainted to beckon to his aid. After appearing in the summoning player’s world, Tsuboi bowed (he’s such a gentleman!) before the two players went through the Mist Door, allowing Tsuboi, as his Tarnished’s name suggests, to solo Malenia. Over the course of the almost three-hour stream, the fights became less intense – probably because Tsuboi is just so good at taking on Malenia now and he has those two bleed-focused blades that deal significant damage. And with each kill, the Slay Malenia counter in the top right corner ticked until it reached 1000. Once Tsuboi reached the impressive number, a thank you message appeared on the screen.
“Thank you everyone for the support,” Tsuboi wrote as his live stream ended in celebration. “I couldn’t have been here with you.”
He then re-entered the Lands Between and started a second New Game Plus.
The chat was filled with cheers as scores of viewers typed “GG” each time Tsuboi put Malenia to rest. Some were grateful to him, saying he “helped me beat Malenia the other day!” Others joked, imagining Tsuboi “must be tired because he’s been called 1000 times”. However, one sentiment was shared among the chatters: that Tsuboi is “the one true Elden Lord” in the Lands Between.
While many revered Klein, a small portion of the elden ring The community is frustrated at what his behavior inadvertently did to the game’s multiplayer overall. Really since souls As the series has become mainstream, there’s always a feeling that a certain etiquette no longer seems to exist among FromSoft players new to the series. This includes things like bowing, Don’t skip mid-fight cutscenes, to keep fighting, even when things don’t go welland especially really help instead of standing on the sidelines. While not very common, some players are now summoning people in anticipation that the summoned player will solo the enemy. This is slowly splitting the subreddit with these summoned players feeling like shit and in some cases, refuse to help.
Another unexpected consequence of Tsuboi’s rise to fame is haters inevitably. To give an example, in a bingo card meaning a clock the most common “types” of players you will see during the Malenia battle, many comments asked whether Solo Her should be included. Surprisingly, most of the answers were a resounding no.
“There was nothing particularly impressive about this fight and it was actually poorly done in some parts,” said one commenter. “There’s a plethora of people who have already made accomplishments that are really impressive for the same boss, and who have gotten only a fraction of the applause they deserve.” The reasoning seemed to be that multiplayer introduces latency and that that Achieving a solo in this context isn’t as impressive as in, say, a high-level New Game Plus.
Still, Tsuboi is for most people who realize that just because Tsuboi is iconic, it’s a cool and selfless thing to go out and help hundreds of people. So much so that he was recognized by Bandai Namco, saying at the end of his livestream that the editor had sent him a “special gift” but he didn’t yet know what it was. Anyway, he plans to re-body Malenia during his New Game Plus run.
