It's reading AllowedOur economy is one of the most important pieces to understanding the game. At the beginning of every round there is a Buy section where you can purchase various items using game currency, called Creds, which you earned during the previous rounds.
There are all sorts of things that decide what to buy at any time. To help you understand the game's economy we have put together a few basic questions on how Creds and Shopping work Allowed.
How do I get Valorant Credits?
Every action Allowed gives you a certain amount of Creds. If your team wins the round, everyone will get 3,000 Creds, while losing the round gets everyone 1,900. After two losses in a row, the team receives 500 Creds in that round, and with three losses in a row, there is a bonus of 1000 Creds in that round. So basically, if you lose four rounds in a row, everyone in the team will win 2,900 in the last round (which is the highest of one round).
People can also get Creds by getting a kill (at 200 Cred per kill). If you plant a bomb, you will receive 300 Cred. Creds are given at the beginning of each round, prior to the Purchase phase.
What can I buy at Purchase Time?
You can purchase weapons, weapons, and skills during the Purchase Phase. Weaker weapons cost less than powerful weapons, naturally. Armor comes in two sizes: 25 Armor (for 400 Creds) and 50 Armor (for 1000 Creds). The cost of energy varies depending on the situation.
You can also purchase items for teammates if they request them during Purchase (by right-clicking an item) that you can purchase with the “Buy” button on the left of the screen next to their name. If you want to request something from your colleagues, just click.
Do I have to buy things for all races?
No, you should not buy items at all Purchases. The point of buying things is to help you win the cycle and you have to think about how each purchase brings you closer to that purpose. Although it may sound boring to go in a circle without a firearm or weapon, it is sometimes worth sacrificing one round to have a better chance of winning the next one.
The first thing to look out for is your team's complete Creds. If your team has more – enough to buy armor, and skills, and firearms – then you and your team should buy. For example, it's the third round of the game, with your team winning the first two, then you have to buy guns and weapons, because the other team probably doesn't have enough money for those things yet and you will have a great chance.
If it's one person in a group with enough Creds to buy, you probably shouldn't. There may be one player who can carry your team with just the back of the gun, but it is impossible especially if the other team buys it completely with firearms and weapons. And if you lose, everyone on the team will be worse in the next round, where most of the team may have enough Creds to buy, but now it's one poor player to buy a gun.
Instead, it's best to wait until everyone in the group has enough Creds to purchase a full one. This way you can get into the cycle with the same weapons that the opponents have and if you can succeed, you can boost their economy, so that they have to save the next round as your team saves the previous round.
With those basic rules in mind there are times when you can change things. For example, when things get too close and your Creds are down, your team might decide to buy “Force Buy.” This means that you are buying things knowing that your upload will be endless. Most players on Force Buy will have only SMGs or 25 weapons. And if a team hearing Force Buys loses, they'll definitely be poor around the corner, but it may help to hold another team if they don't expect to deal with pistols instead. You can also do "Partly Buy," where one or two people buy cheap guns, with the knowledge that even if they lose they will have enough to buy again next.
Whenever you survive the round, you'll keep the weapons you have completed around – so if anyone drops a better weapon, hold it before the end of the round. When you die, you will have nothing other than a basic gun, whether your party wins or loses. Power will flow back into the cycle if you don't use it, and any unarmed Armor will take you to the next round (again, if you survive).
How do I know how many Creds my team or enemy has?
The scoreboard will give you a live view of your team's Creds. You can also see how many enemy groups start the cycle, but you won't get a live update as it dissolves. That means you know what they can buy, not what they actually buy. All of this is information that you can keep track of in your head if you want, but putting it on a whiteboard removes unnecessary trouble.
How do I know how many Creds I will have in the next round?
This number will update as you spend, so you always know how buying this number will affect the economy of the next round.
Can I sell items?
You can sell anything you bought for a specific category of purchase for free. This is useful if you buy the wrong one, or if your team changes tactics and sees that you need one weapon or skill instead of another.
