Honkai: Star Rail is getting its next big update. Version 2.0 will take us there Penaconia, a dreamy Art Deco-style space centered around a special hotel. The update brings new characters and lots of new things to do.
While we’re used to new patches being released on Tuesday evenings/Wednesday mornings (depending on where you live), version 2.0 is actually launching on Monday evenings/Tuesday mornings, which is a departure from the norm.
Below we explain when Honkai: Star Rail maintenance begins and ends next to that Release date version 2.0 with Penacony.
When will Honkai: Star Rail be down for maintenance?
Honkai: Star Rail is shut down for maintenance February 5th or 6th (depending on your time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
- February 5 at 2:00 pm PST for the west coast of North America
- February 5th at 5pm EST for the east coast of North America

- February 5th at 11pm CET for Western Europe/Paris
- February 6th at 7am JST for Japan/Tokyo
- February 6 at 9am AEDT for Australia/Sydney

When will Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 be released?
Honkai: Star Rail should return from maintenance with version 2.0 at the following times:
- February 5th at 7pm PST for the west coast of North America
- February 5th at 10pm EST for the east coast of North America
- February 10th, 6 at 3pm GMT for Great Britain
- February 6th at 4am CET for Western Europe/Paris
- February 6 at 12pm JST for Japan/Tokyo
- February 6 at 2pm AEDT for Australia/Sydney
Depending on how maintenance goes, the servers may start up sooner or later. However, these are the approximate times that 2.0 should go live. Normally, Hoyoverse is pretty good at keeping up with maintenance times. We don’t usually receive extended maintenance, but sometimes it ends early!
