Tides of Annihilation was inspired by a simple idea: capturing the thrill of fights alongside trusted allies in a solo game experience. To this end, we have created an innovative combat system inspired by the ideals of courage, loyalty and honor.
Tides of Annihilation presents an intuitive cooperative fight in a solo experience
The players will assume the role of Gwendolyn, who exercises the power of a mysterious gray fog which can demonstrate two spectral knights at his side. Each knight has a separate combat role. Whether it is to take care of in combat, defend themselves against attacks or to release devastating combos, players will have to strategically choose the knights to invoke according to their favorite style of play and the challenges they face.
The interaction between Gwendolyn and the Knights creates a dynamic, fast and deeply engaging combat experience. It is a system that our team (veterans of the best game studios) fell in love during internal game tests.
A broken London is signaled
Our world of play reinvents London as a sprawling battlefield where modern ruins coexist with the echoes of a medieval past. Imagine the city as a giant tree, its branches representing emblematic districts and monuments – each twisted and transformed by the invaders of another world.
You will cross two distinct versions of this intermediate world:
- Modern London: Familiar benchmarks are marked by the supernatural invasion, offering a haunting overview of what was in the past.
- Medieval fantastic kingdom: Arthurian influences reign supreme, creating a medieval world of ancient magic and mythical creatures.
The players will explore these interconnected kingdoms, discovering clues, in search of the legendary shards of the Grail, while they unravel the mystery behind the invasion.
The colossal knights travel the earth
One of the most impressive and exciting features of the game are the colossal Knights wandering in the Grand London. More than a spectacular visual background, these are interactive challenges taken up in the gameplay. You will climb their immense forms, explore their surfaces and engage in epic battles that will test your skills and your courage.
These unique meetings are particularly important in our improved mode, which is under development exclusively for PS5 Pro players. With GPU power and additional PSSR technology of the pro, the game reaches higher resolution, tracing of rays, improved image fidelity and more fluid gameplay of 60FPS.
