Electronic Arts and DICE today revealed a new gameplay trailer for Battlefield 2042 that gives us an idea of how some of the different Specialists in the multiplayer shooter will work. This is one of the first new screenshots for Battlefield 2042 that we’ve seen in recent weeks, and it seems to indicate that EA will be showing a lot more of the title ahead of the open beta launch later this month.
Images of the game in question for Battlefield 2042 were revealed today on social media through the official account associated with the franchise. In total, this trailer is about 90 seconds long and gives us an idea of many of the different Specialists that players will be able to use in the game. Collectively, the stunts seen in this trailer include Kimble “Irish” Graves, Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele. These five characters stand as the first of the specialists to be revealed for Battlefield 2042, with five more to be announced later.

Overall, the short Battlefield 2042 footage that we can see in this case looks pretty good. Not only does each specialist have their own unique abilities and skills, but the general footage shown seems to give us an idea of the explosive battles the game will offer. While it’s hard to know yet how Battlefield 2042 will turn out, it still looks very promising.
Battlefield 2042 will launch later this year on October 22 and will hit the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC platforms. As for the open beta, EA and DICE have not announced when the testing phase will officially begin, but experts have stated that it will begin on September 22.
