Last weekend Cyberpunk 2077 was updated on all platforms to finally reach version 1.1. This patch came to solve many bugs and improve the stability of the game in general, especially on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that could barely run the game.
This was partially achieved, but a bug was also discovered that will directly prevent you from being able to continue playing and even load a game with the same bug, so you would have to start over. Those are the bad news, the good news is that the bug is presented in a mission that many have already done because it is one of the first in the game and that CDPR has achieved a temporary solution.
An incredible bug
In the mission “Down on the Street” we received a call from Takemura informing us of our next objective. The bug is that Takemura never speaks on the call, so the game does not progress and nothing happens, we cannot call anyone else or play the mission that is critical to continue the story.
We’re working on the issue where the conversation with Takemura may not start during the quest “Down on the Street” for @CyberpunkGame
and plan to release a Hotfix to address it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, here’s a potential workaround👇https://t.co/ujjxb8snGu— CD PROJEKT RED CS (@CDPRED_Support) January 25, 2021
The solution is that we do the following. At the beginning of the mission we will have a meeting with the fixer Hakako and Katemura himself, at the end of this we will talk to Katemura and he will leave. That is when we will go to the game menu and wait 24 hours (within the game) and so Katemura will call us immediately and there will be no problems.
The other solution is to load a pre-meeting game and do the step above. If for some reason you no longer have a previous game, you can wait for CDPR to fix the bug, but you may have to start the whole game over.
Aside from bug, players report greater stability on all platforms and fewer bugs for missions that cannot be completed. You can read the full patch notes here and information about the bug here.
