Motive Studios had announced a Dead Space stream showing their progress developing Dead Space Remake. The players expected few details and little gameplay, but the truth is that we ended up seeing more than we could at first think.
Of course, the gameplay is that of a title still in full development. Most of the sets are not polished and there is a lot of artwork missing in the form of textures to give the finishing touch. What happens is that in that state we can already see its playability that will be very similar to that of the original delivery.
Everything seems to be going well
Dead Space was a survival horror with shooter mechanics in a spaceship, it drinks directly from Resident Evil, so fans of the Capcom saga can enjoy this saga too.
In the videos shown we could see a new dismemberment system, this was an essential part of the game at the time and they have decided to keep it for the remake. Now not only can we tear off the limbs of the enemies but each weapon will have a different effect, we can even tear off the skin and reach the bone, there is a lot of detail in the gore.
On the other hand, it has been confirmed that it will not be a 1: 1 remake, there will be more dialogues and zones, in addition, Gunner Wright will return as a voice actor for Isaac. In the stream they commented that Wright will have extra work since the protagonist will speak more, although never enough to break the tension and the feeling of isolation and loneliness.
You can see everything mentioned in the channel Twitch From EA Motive, the stream lasts an hour, but the gameplay begins around minute 20. Electronic Arts has not shared a release date but most likely the game is left for 2022.
