After its tour in Japan, ‘Gintama: The Final’ is preparing to arrive in the United States to put an end to the battle between samurais and aliens thanks to Eleven Arts.
The distributor announced this Monday that it acquired the film rights to the latest ‘Gintama’ film and revealed that it will arrive in the West under the name ‘Gintama: The Very Final’.
So far its release date is unknown, so the only thing they leave us to enjoy until their announcement is their first promotional poster, in which you will see the heroes ready for battle.
The last film of Sorachi’s work hit theaters in Japan on January 8, taking us back to the last arc of the series and counting on the Bandai Namco Pictures studio for its realization, the same ones that were in charge of the last installments of the anime. .
In addition to the film, an animated project for the franchise was released weeks later, through the dTV service with the title ‘Gintama: The Semi-Final’ that serves as a recount of the events leading up to the film, to refresh the memory of the fans.
A little more of Gintama
Written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi, ‘Gintama’ began its serialization in 2003 through Weekly Shonen Jump until 2018, at which point it became part of the Jump GIGA until 2019, which is included in the Gintama App.
As one of the most lucrative franchises in anime, Sorachi’s manga inspired multiple anime adaptations for both TV and the big screen, as well as live-action movies and series, as well as events held annually.
The projects that managed to get from ‘Gintama’ to the West are available through streaming services such as Crunchyroll and Funimation. However ‘Gintama: The Final’ does not yet have a release date in our region.
