Experiment 101 has published through his Twitter account that Biomutant is almost ready and will finally be released next May. The game was announced more than five years ago and since then there has been rather little of the project.
In June 2020, the first trailer with gameplay and cinematics was revealed and it attracted a lot of attention for its setting, soundtrack and premise. However, at the end of the trailer it read: “It will come when we are happy with the result.” Which apparently did not take long since a year later we will receive it in the consoles of the previous generation and PC, although for now there are no announcements about a delivery for PlayStati on 5 or Xbox Series X / S (let’s not forget that they are backward compatible) .
Funny premise
Biomutant was revealed as an open world game in which we control a raccoon on a very green map with grasslands, forests and rivers. The enemies shown are all large monsters, but our character is not exactly a defenseless animal. The anthropomorphic raccoon has firearms and melee weapons and is trained to finish what is put in front of him.

Experiment 101 was formed by former members of Avalanches Studios, creators of Just Cause, who wanted to start their own project. Biomutant is their first game and will be released by THQ Nordic on May 25, 2021 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
