FIST .: Forged in Shadow Torch appeared at The Game Awards last week and confirmed that it will also be coming to PS5 next spring.
As part of The Game Awards, we got another look at FIST .: Forged in Shadow Torch. The action platformer brings a ton of flair to the table. I mean, it’s hard to be better than an angry bunny with a huge robotic arm on its back. Only time will tell if this is a bionic command situation and the rabbit and the arm are linked in unexpected ways. Regardless, the new trailer shows a game that is shaping up well. Check out below.
In FIST, you play Rayton, a battle-hardened rabbit who wants to rescue his friends from the Legion of Machines. To do so, you will engage in exaggerated arcade-like combat using Rayton’s three primary weapons: the fist, a drill, and a whip. The battle system relies on the use of all three to create visually appealing combo chains. Of course, it is difficult to know if the system will be successful without taking it into account. That said, everything looks good, at least. Only time will tell if the game can match.
Anyway, I am a fan of anthropomorphic animals in the media. It’s probably all that Star Fox I played as a kid. The style in FIST reminds me of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. That game was my Game of the Year in 2018, so I’ll always pay attention when something uses similar images. Obviously these are very different games, but I am convinced to give this one a try.
FIST .: Forged in Shadow Torch will be released sometime in Spring 2021. When it launches, the game will arrive on PC, PS4, and PS5.
