SQUARE ENIX today announced that the critically acclaimed FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster collection, previously available on Steam and mobile devices, will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch family systems on April 19, 2023 digitally. The pixel remaster collection, which includes titles from FINAL FANTASY I to FINAL FANTASY VI, brings all the magic of the classics combined with quality-of-life updates while remaining true to the retro design of these masterpieces.
In the FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster collection, players can look forward to features unique to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions, including the option to switch between the original soundtrack or new arrangements, as well as choosing the font of the lyrics within the game – players will be able to choose between the standard in-game font or a pixel-based font. Additionally, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch players can look forward to improvements to further expand the gameplay, such as turning off random encounters against enemies and adjusting an experience boost from 0 to 4.
The collection of six games in the FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster series will be available digitally with individual purchases or as a complete collection, including FINAL FANTASY I-VI from the PlayStation Store or Nintendo eShop. Starting today, users can pre-order the digital version of this collection on Nintendo Switch. Players who purchase the Nintendo Switch version before May 25, 2023 will receive two wallpapers based on their individual purchases. Those who purchase the complete collection of the FINAL FANTASY I-VI BUNDLE will receive 12 themed wallpapers.
Players who purchase the digital edition of these games on PlayStation 4 between April 19, 2023 and May 25, 2023 will receive a Theme and Avatar based on their individual FINAL FANTASY Collection purchase(s). pixel remaster. Players who purchase the complete collection of FINAL FANTASY I-VI will receive all Themes and Avatars included with the individual games, for a total of six Themes and six Avatars.
