Final Fantasy VII Remake delays its launch to April
Unexpected surprise from Square Enix which we had this Tuesday, January 14. Less than two months after its expected release, Yoshino Kitase, producer of 'Final Fantasy VII Remake', has announced that the title has suffered a slight delay in its release date, because instead of being released on March 3, the PlayStation 4 players will have to wait until the day April 10th
We know that many of you are waiting for the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. To ensure we develop a game that is in line with our vision, and the quality that our fans deserve, we have decided to change the release date to April 10, 2020
.We have made this difficult decision to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply the final polishing of the game and give you the best possible experience. On behalf of the whole team I want to apologize to everyone, since I know this means waiting a little longer for the game.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
As Kitase explains in the recent statement, it is a delay focused on thestart the game as polished as possible and not a change of date with months of difference, which would point to problems in development. Be it a month before or after, it seems that the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake is almost finished (the development of the second episode is taking place in parallel) and is getting closer to the players' houses.
