From this Friday, you will be able to take advantage of the score that accompanies your machine hunts, both in and out of the game! We’ve teamed up with our friends at Sony Music to roll out the Horizon Forbidden West soundtrack to all streaming platforms, starting February 25th.
Due to all the love we’ve received for the wonderful music of Horizon Zero Dawn, we wanted to make Horizon Forbidden West’s score available as much as possible for you to listen to. To do this, we will release the soundtrack in three volumes. Volume 1 arrives this Friday and includes tracks such as Aloy’s Theme, a new version of her iconic theme for Horizon Forbidden West featuring vocals by Julie Elven, and In the Flood, the beautiful track featured in the opening title sequence of the game with vocals by Ariana Gillis.
The story behind In the Flood is remarkable. Originally written by our very own Lovisa Bergdahl, we thought it fit perfectly with the game’s opening! Lovisa teamed up with Oleksa Lozowchuk to co-produce the track, which now graces the start sequence as Aloy gallops West. If you would like to listen to Lovisa’s original song, it will also be included in volume 1 of our soundtrack.
The rest of the soundtrack will follow soon after, with additional digital releases on March 11 and 25, so be sure to mark your calendars! Check out the link below to find the soundtrack on your favorite streaming platform starting February 25:

Guerrilla Music supervisor Lucas van Tol sat down with our composers to talk about the process of creating the soundtrack to Aloy’s Journey. Joris de Man, Niels van der Leest, Oleksa Lozowchuk and songwriting duo The Flight explain how they created the music for Horizon Forbidden West. They also return to Aloy’s first adventure in Horizon Zero Dawn:
We hope you enjoy Horizon Forbidden West and its score as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.
