Get ratings for new robotic parts with the KAL-1000! Break Ground is the second DLC available on the PS4 in a multi-dimensional space exploration game, Kerbal Space Improved System
The basic feature of the Kerbal Space Program is how it interacts with engineering and art, allowing players to see their ideas seen before their eyes in the game. In the new DLC, we equip our players with a new suite of robotic components and an embedded controller, the KAL-1000, that will allow you to track the actions of these components by binding them to action groups. This article serves as a guide to the KAL-1000 and how to program parts of the robots in the Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition: Breaking Ground.
The KAL-1000 is a controller with a programmable configuration. Though not heard, it can track the actions of all parts of the robots and many others. Provides access to a powerful track editor tool to set how parts will behave over time.
So, how do we use it? First of all, you will need to build a casual. In this example, we build an ant colony, but anything can be built. The sky is the limit!
Next, we will add the KAL-1000 to the intelligence. Open the Action Group editor.
With KAL selected from the Action Group editor, we select the parts we want to control and select the action – in this case, the hinge and its target angle.
Open the KAL-1000 track editor.
We then plot how the part works over time by adjusting the curve that represents each variable in the track editor. For example, we adjust the key angle of this hinge, which will allow it to keep coming back properly.
Do the same steps as the other parts you want to control and play the track to see how it works. Test yourself in the world, real physics works, to be sure it will work. If your Robot-Ant is working, it's time to spoil the picnic! That's all!
By using the KAL-1000 controller, we can configure complex systems for robots in conjunction with action groups. The possibilities are endless. Happy Presentation!
