Square Enix is the second major publisher to hold an E3 2021 market conference this Sunday, with the Japanese company’s events always interesting to hear the news from its major studios. The Square Enix presents summer 2021 will be broadcast live this Sunday June 13 at 9:15 p.m. and promises some surprises to fans, as well as new information on games already known or released. What will we see at the Square Enix conference at E3 2021?
The Japanese publisher himself has already confirmed that there will be at least one brand new advertisement. Square Enix says we’ll see the reveal of the new Eidos Montreal project, the studio in charge of Thief, Deus Ex and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Nothing is confirmed, but all bets point to a new Deus Ex.
Final Fantasy XVI It’s already announced and so it looks pretty advanced in its development, although it will likely not be a game for 2021 and its presence at the conference remains uncertain. A new Tomb Raider or some sort of remake would be appropriate to celebrate its 25th anniversary, but at the moment these are just rumors.
Regarding the titles confirmed for the event and on which it will mainly focus, we find The fall of Babylon (new from Platinum Games), Life is Strange: True Colors and Marvel’s Avengers (Black Panther extension). Nintendo Switch fans will also expect to see a few Triangle Strategy Project, the tactical game similar to Final Fantasy Tactics but with the graphic aspect of Octopath Traveler.
