The holiday season is upon us, and, while it has nothing against cinnamon and cloves, the management team has decided to mix it with a different kind of flavor: the iron taste of adrenaline. Expeditions, a new challenging game Control mode, lands tonight on the PS4. If you already own the game, all you need to do is open your console and download the latest update.
Out is a fighting-focused, future-focused game mode that will test your skill, character build, and load into a series of challenges in a remote region that is part of the Hiss-infested Black Rock Quarry Threshold.
You may have seen an old box set in an isolated room near the Central Executive in the game. If you think it might be something else for Power, you guessed it right. After completing the main deployment Keeper of My Brother and gain Levite ability, be sure to return to Central Executive and get your first Jukebox token. Crash it into the OOP, and you're in this race!
And race will be, because, after the song starts playing and Object of Power moves you to the Quarry Threshold, you'll be the only one 25 minutes to end the Expedition. Some of us at Reedy say that it is impossible to get through so much hardship – are you starting this challenge? Broadcast and show us!
If you run out of time, you're out. But don't worry, you can get multiple Jukebox Tokens by completing Bureau notifications, board appearances, or defeating enemies with names. If you have a source to save, you can buy multiple bundles of Jukebox Tokens from the Astral Conruates menu throughout the control area.
There are three layers of Expeditions, opened respectively. It's harder and harder, they need more Jukebox Tokens, and they get better and better rewards. You will have the opportunity to find alternatives to the Expedition for Your Weapon and Jesse Weapon, multiple materials, and a new outfit. Completing each leopard will also give you more Jukebox Tokens, so you can continue playing more Expeditions.
Each time you go to the Expedition, you'll find random gameplay parameters such as "every weapon deals 100% damage" or "everyone has 75% health." When the cheetah comes up – this time the computers are playing. They will encourage you to try to use your luggage and, in some cases, completely change the way you approach the fight.
Parameters are not the only thing that keeps Expeditions new. Our Encounter Director program is almost entirely in this game mode, targeting one or more enemies – and various types of them – depending on where you are and what you're doing. All the Hiss models you've encountered in Control are here, so we encourage you to go prepared: with all Weapon forms for services and capabilities unlocked.
Opt-out is not a game mode for despair, so if you can eliminate one, claim your bragging rights by posting a photo of your #ControlRemedy hashtag figure.
