As the New Year is also approaching in the world of Teyvat, we would like to invite you to the rite of the lantern of Liyue. To add to the excitement, beneath the calm waters around Watatsumi Island lies a new kingdom. Locked up for thousands of years, the now awakened Enkanomiya calls out a hero.
Rebuild and rejoice at the rite of the lantern
As Liyue’s largest annual festival, the Rite of Lanterns is the occasion for people to come together to honor their heroes and embrace the future with best wishes. On the day of the festival, the night sky of Liyue Harbor will be illuminated by thousands of Xiao lanterns released from each household, followed by a large fireworks display.
The bustling streets of Liyue will once again be lined with a variety of vendors and stalls, bringing a host of new festivities to those celebrating the holidays. You can try your hand at making sparkling fireworks or participate in the popular lantern guessing event.
In addition to the big celebrations, the Jade Room will also get a new lease of life around this time. This magnificent airborne palace was destroyed to defeat the ancient god and sea monster Osial during Archon’s final quest. While Ningguang and many others are busy rebuilding the Jade Chamber, you can also participate to help recover the lost items. Some can be picked up with the Waverider, while others must be picked up from the Treasure Hoarders. You can hunt down elite treasurers in their encampments or intercept their transport balloons that transfer supplies at sea.
Reconnect with the people of Liyue
Among those who are rebuilding the Jade Chamber, you will meet our new characters Shenhe and Yun Jin, as well as many old friends of Liyue. Some also get a new look with the next update.
Often mistaken for a follower, our new five-star character Shenhe actually comes from a family of exorcists. However, Shenhe had been raised by Cloud Retainer as her disciple at an early age, and she did not understand the intricacies of human relationships or the ways of the world. In battle, Shenhe uses the power of Cryo and a pole weapon. She can summon a talisman spirit and become a powerful support to increase team damage. Shenhe’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Shatter can help his party deal increased cryogenic damage. With her Elemental Skill and Passive Talent, you can additionally choose to increase the Elemental Skill and Shatter damage of all nearby party members, or their Normal, Dip, and Charged Attack damage.
Our next new character, Yun Jin, is a four-star polearm user, and she can be a solid support for those who prefer normal attacks. His elemental skill can protect and charge for a more powerful strike. His Elemental Burst will cause AoE Geo DMG and grant all nearby teammates a Flying Cloud Flag formation, increasing their normal attack based on Yun Jin’s defense. Meanwhile, the buff provided by the Flying Cloud Flag formation can be further increased if you have a variety of visions in your party. To better represent Yun Jin as an opera master, we invited Beijing opera artist 杨扬 (Yang Yang) to perform his opera performances, alongside excellent actors from different languages to deliver his dialogue. in daily life.
Shenhe and Yun Jin will be available in the first event wish, coinciding with Xiao’s event wish. Zhongli and Ganyu will each have their own event wish open in the final stage of version 2.4. Travelers who have visited Watatsumi Island may have heard of an underwater nation sealed for thousands of years. Legend has it that the island’s ancestors lived here before rising to the surface under the guidance of Orobashi, the serpent god who was later killed on Yashiori Island. You can get the key to the moon-bathed chasm with Shrine Maiden Tsuyuko and explore the ruins of an ancient civilization that is older than any other ruin you can see on earth.
Unlike the other Inazuma Islands, Enkanomiya is a huge floating island located under the ocean. Although located on Teyvat, the depths of Enkanomiya are somewhat disconnected from this world, constantly being eroded by the Abyss. Deprived of sun, there was neither day nor night in Enkanomiya until the advent of an ancient civilization. Using advanced technology and the help of Orobashi, the people of Enkanomiya created an artificial sun, Dainichi Mikoshi, which illuminated the dark depths.
Clues from this lost civilization are buried in the ruins of the abandoned library, shrines, laboratory, and city remains. As you dive into the depths of Enkanomiya, the transition from day to night via Dainichi Mikoshi is the key to solving many puzzles. Also beware of the Bathysmal Vishaps and the new Abyss Lector in your quest. Bathysmal vishaps are extremely dangerous predators living in dark waters. Before we finish sharing version 2.4, we would like to let you know that we have improved the performance of Genshin Impact on console. With version 2.4, you can customize the hotkeys on your controller.
Since version 2.3 we have also introduced a new technique to achieve softer shadows, which we hope will bring more realistic visual perception and immersion in the game world.
