The Gigabyte / Aorus team has mistakenly leaked the AMD 6600 XT, a graphics model that has been heard for months. The red team did not have a graphics at this level that could compete with the 3060 Ti and Nvidia, and now it seems that it will finally arrive in August.
The leak comes on time as there were rumors that AMD would unveil two new graphics cards at the China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference to be held in Shanghai between July 30 and August 2. In fact, according to Fudzilla
Waiting for official announcement
These would be the 6600 and the 6600 XT, two new GPUs intended for mid / low-end PCs and which would be optimized to run games at 1080p. However, if they really intend to be the competition of the 3060 Ti, they will also have to offer good performance at 1440p and even 4K.
However, if we are guided by the Gigabyte leak, it seems that AMD will only lock in 1080p for graphics marketing. The leak is a tweet that was available for a few minutes before it was removed, and everything seems to indicate that the tweet came out a day ahead of schedule.
The image shows two graphs with three fans each, so it will be large enough to stay out of overheating temperatures. Similarly, this is just the Gigabyte Aorus model, other brands may offer fewer fans.
For its part, Videocardz mentions that the 6600 XT will have a Navi 23 chip with 2048 Stream Processors and 8GB of VRAM. So, in the absence of benchmarks, it seems like a good option for those who do not want to spend more than 400 dollars on a GPU.
