PQube y Dual Effect have announced the release date from Tormented Souls, the horror title inspired by the classic Resident Evil. The game will arrive first to the new generation and at a later date than Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is worth noting that these versions were not planned until recently, so that is why they will arrive later.
On the other hand, only the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 editions will be in physical format, while the rest of the platforms will be sold digitally for $ 20. Also, there is a demo available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) right now.
Inspired by the classics
The game was first revealed at Steam Next Fest with a 40 minute demo, that’s the one available right now. The pre-rendered graphics surprised a lot, as well as its puzzles and the setting, as it reminded us of other greats of the genre.
In the game we control Caroline Walker, a girl who has been kidnapped and wakes up without an eye and connected to different medical equipment in a bathtub. The idea is to get out of this place that, as we explore, we discover that it is far from civilization and that it is full of all kinds of strange creatures.
The gameplay is shown in concrete shots like those of the first Resident Evil and Caroline is controlled in the same way. We will have an inventory where we can review well the objects that we get and a lamp that we cannot keep on all the time.
Tormented Souls will be released on August 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. It will arrive later on the Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
