‘It Takes Two’ is a fairly new and fun game created by Josef Fares, the game developed by Hazelight is characterized by its colors and humor. Now we know that the game presents an Easter egg related to the controversial phrase “Fuck the Oscars” by Fares.
This easter egg is on a spatial level where you can hear Fares’s statement left at the 2017 Game Awards gala against the Oscars. This level presents a satellite th at allows you to listen to almost the entire statement, including the controversial phrase.
Fares issued this statement in 2017 when he showed that he is a faithful advocate of video games as an art demonstration. Fares has positioned himself as a Hollywood detractor in recent years and this is one of his strongest demonstrations against it.
In defense of videogames as a representation of art
Fares then said that he has nothing against the Oscars, but was referring to the inferiority with which video game developers are treated today. Fares wants people to understand once and for all that video games are art and their creators should be respected as artists.
It Takes Two is reminiscent at times of a Disney movie, so Fares’s statements are quite forceful and it cannot be denied that they cannot be completely ruled out. Another element that reminds the film industry within the game is humor, which will be present at all times and in many cases we will laugh at ourselves, something that Fares knows how to do very well.
We remind you that ‘It Takes Two’ is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X since last week. Then we leave you the video with the easter egg.
