One of the most anticipated plays of the fall 2021 season continues to add more characters to its cast.
Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu unveiled a trio of male characters that will accompany the already large group of classmates who will accompany the lovely Komi and the likeable Hitohito.
- Kenji Akabane as Shigeo Chiarai, a boy with brown hair and a friendly aura. He is a striking type of person, but he does not stand out among the classmates around him. He often hangs out with Sonoda and Shinobino.
- Yuga Sato as Taisei Sonoda, a boy with slicked back hair. He is able to keep up with any conversation. However, this characteristic makes him blend in with others. He often hangs out with Chiarai and Shinobino.
- Kensho Ono as Mono Shinobino, who dresses up as a ninja (black hood, mask, and scarf) in his school uniform. However, she doesn’t really hide and voice her opinions when her class decides what to do for the school festival. He often hangs out with Chiarai and Sonoda.

It’s Shouko Komi’s first day at the prestigious Itan Private High School, and she has already achieved the status of the school’s Madonna. With long black hair and a tall, graceful appearance, she grabs the attention of anyone who comes across her. However, there is only one problem: despite her popularity, Shouko is terrible at communicating with others.
Hitohito Tadano is your average high school kid. With his life’s motto of “read the situation and make sure you stay out of trouble,” he quickly discovers that sitting next to Shouko has made him the enemy of everyone in his class. One day, knocked out by accident, Hitohito wakes up later to the sound of Shouko’s “meow”.
He lies that he didn’t hear anything, which made Shouko run away. But before he can escape, Hitohito assumes that Shouko is not able to talk to others easily; in fact, he has never been able to make a single friend. Hitohito decides to help Shouko with his goal of making a hundred friends so he can overcome his communication disorder.
