Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is just a month away from its launch, the BioWare saga will return in a big way from an internal Electronic Arts team that today he has decided to publish a comparative video Between the two versions that the franchise has, this Legendary Edition and the originals.
The trailer begins with a plan of the Citadel, perhaps one of the most mythical locations in the saga and that was presented in Mass Effect 1 14 years ago. The new citadel is much more colorful and rich in details thanks to a new lighting system, in fact, this lighting is what brings this Legendary Edition to life.
Notable improvements
There are also changes to the character models, they have much more detail thanks to the increase in resolution from 720p to 1080p (or more on PC). The 3D models of each of the characters have also been improved, so that their faces, especially in the first installment, no longer look so out of place in 2020. It highlights the change of model of the female Shepard that will now have the same face in all three installments.
On the other hand, the particles and effects have been improved, so snowfall, lava, trees, mountains and practically everything around us on the wildest planets looks much better. Mako rides have improved a lot visually, although it was not revealed if this car will now have better controls.
You can watch the video below to see all the improvements in more detail, the Legendary Edition will include the three games of the main saga, as well as their DLCs, but will not have multiplayer. It will be available on May 14 on PS4, Xbox One and PC and will work on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S through backward compatibility.
