The wait for Misaki no Mayoiga gets shorter, with the presentation of a new trailer.
The advance came from the hand of Aniplex, through its official YouTube account. Showing more details of the original story from the David Production studio, based on the original novels by Sachiko Kashiwaba and Yukiko Saito.
The revelation of the seiyuus who will take the central roles of the story was included:
- Shinobu Ootake as Kiwa, a mysterious old woman who lives in an abandoned house.
- Awano Sari as Hiyori, a girl who is unable to speak since she lost her parents in an accident.
Misaki no Mayoiga is one of the works that seek to represent a specific region of Japan. It is the turn of the Iwate region, one of the most affected by the tsunami and earthquake 10 years ago, as well as Miyagi and Fukushima. All this in a joint project called Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10.

Misaki no Mayoiga’s story is as follows:
The story centers on a traditional Japanese house called “Mayoiga” (named after the Japanese folk concept of an abandoned but well-kept house) from where you can see the sea and feel the touch of warmth and nostalgia. A 17-year-old girl who is trying to find her place in the world begins a new life with people who have no relationship with her.
