Hello everyone! SEGA is proud to be a part of the latest State of Play and to raise the curtain on the new gameplay of Lost Judgment, the upcoming black action thriller from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
Tokyo District Court, 2021.
A convicted police officer reveals the location of the body of a murder victim, the man who once intimidated his late son. Private Detective Takayuki Yagami is called in to investigate the impossible case of two crimes committed at the same time. But what starts off as a simple revenge story spills over into a growing criminal network, a flawed legal system, and those who would profit from both.
It’s up to you and Yagami to hunt down the truth, even if that means scaling buildings, infiltrating deep, or engaging in martial arts to defend yourself when the pressure is sure to come.
The new trailer features two of Yagami’s new investigative actions: athleticism and stealth. Take detective work to new heights by scaling buildings and smooth acrobatics to access otherwise inaccessible areas. Stealth can be used to sneak past security or silent withdrawals to take a jerk out of the picture without making a scene.
… But if making a scene is inevitable, Yagami has access to three flashy and combo-rich styles of martial arts: Crane, Tiger and the new Snake style. The advantage of the Snake style is to redirect an opponent’s attacks towards them for more merciful kills. Each style rewards active play and counting management in a unique way.
Yagami’s tracks take you through several districts of Japan and to a local high school where he must discover how a mysterious increase in delinquency is linked to his case. In order to “infiltrate” the school, Yagami infiltrates as an outside advisor to advise activity clubs.
Next is the school stories, where you can make friends with students from all walks of life while on the job. Groove to the beat in Dance Club, fight for robot supremacy in Robotics Club, and enjoy off-campus activities like sticking and swinging in a boxing hall and burning rubber in a biker gang.
Spending time with the students can be worth it – you’d be surprised to know who knows what in this city.
It’s all part of the job of this intrepid private investigator.
