NieR Automata exceeds 5 million units sold
Platinum Games has just announced that one of their most influential works of the generation, NieR: Automata, has passed the 5 million units sold worldwide, making it the best-selling game from the Japanese studio. Platinum Games, also behind other licenses such as Bayonetta, specifies that the data corresponds to the sum of games distributed and total digital downloads.

Automata’s success sparked future plans for the license, which in April 2021, it will return with the remaster of NieR Replicant, the game of 2010, officially known as NieR Replicant Ver 1.22. The long-awaited remastering is announced for now only on PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
