Pendulum Studio shared a trailer from his new project called Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo, a title inspired by the legendary British director’s film. In fact, the film was chosen as “The best film of all time” by the British Film Festival, so the franchise that the Spanish studio has in hand is not small.

Vertigo (1958), the film, is about a detective who suffers from acrophobia, a condition that forces him to retire from the police very soon. However, a friend asks him to spy on his wife who has been acting strange for a while. The film deals with themes such as psychological terror, love and obsessive love and, as we said, it is key in the history of cinema.

For its part, Péndulo Studio describes its title this way:

“Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is a narrative and adventure game, loosely inspired by the masterpiece of the film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Immerse yourself in a psychological thriller of a new kind, playing with the limits between reality and fantasy ”.

The studio has more than 25 years in the industry and has only developed adventure games, so the same is expected of this installment that will arrive at the end of the year. The story of the game will put us in the shoes of Ed Miller who miraculously survives a traffic accident. However, he is convinced that his wife and daughter, who are now missing, were in the car.

The character suffers from vertigo (a false sensation of movement) and is in therapeutic treatment to discover the truth about the accident, so the premise is interesting, although we will have to wait to know how it relates to the film beyond the condition of the main characters.

Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, and PC in late 2021
