Atlus is the studio in charge of the development of one of the most beloved franchises within Japan such as Persona. Every time one of these titles goes on sale in the archipelago country, the West hopes to have them at some point. This is the case of ‘Persona 5 Strikers’, fortunately now we have the release date of the game in the rest of the world.
‘Persona 5 Strikers’ will arrive on February 23, 2021 in the West for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. The information was revealed through a trailer posted by Atlus on its official YouTube channel. The company quickly removed it, but this did not stop some users will be able to capture the image with the release date.
Renewing the Persona saga
‘Persona 5 Strikers’ went on sale on February 21, 2020 in Japan under the name ‘Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers’. The title is characterized by having an action RPG system very much in the style of the Omega Force games, world renowned for ‘Dynasty Warriors’.
At the moment Atlus has neither confirmed nor denied the veracity of the information publ ished in the trailer, but it is most likely that it will not take long to confirm it. Users who tested the title in Japan commented that it is a great sequel to ‘Persona 5’, so expectations are quite high for this release.
In case February 23 is the game’s release date, we’ll be getting the title a little over a year after the game’s official launch in Japan. Persona is a franchise that has millions of fans inside and outside of Japan, its impact within the archipelago country is only compared to that achieved by ‘Yakuza’, another saga that has also positioned itself quite well in the West.
