From PC to consoles
Phoenix Point received much praise for its strategy and RPG mechanics, plus it came with the XCOM spiritual sequel badge because its creator is the same. Julian Gollop served as creative director for this new game that is clearly inspired by XCOM, but features a story with different characters.
That is why we are facing a delivery that lets us control characters with futuristic firearms in turns in an isometric three-dimensional environment. That is to say, the typical vision of strategy from a bird’s eye view that allows us to control characters and move them through squares as if it were a board game.
However, we can also change the perspective to be in the third person, although only for the combat phases. It has many components of RPG, strategy and management so fans of the genre will be delighted.
In addition, if you are interested in aliens and the theme of space combat, you will also like it, although it is worth noting that most of the story happens on Earth.
Phoenix Point Behemoth Edition will debut on October 1 on PS4 and Xbox One. For its part, PC will receive the DLC “Corrupted Horizons” the same day (also included in the Behemoth Edition). Players will be able to upgrade to the PS5 and Series X / S version when it launches later in the year.
