A post in the PlayStation Germany blog has drawn attention to gamers hoping for Horizon Forbidden Wests to release in 2021. The game has never been promised for this year, but PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst did mention that they would do their best to release it by the end of anus.
However, there are more and more signs that the game will be delayed a bit, which would cause Sony’s catalog this year to have fewer exclusive games than expected. Let’s remember that God of War: Ragnarok was also delayed, so the two most important AAA would be leaving in 2022.
Just some games
In the blog we can see that Kena is listed: Bridge of Spirits, Tales of Arise, Life is Strange: True Colors and even Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, but not the Guerrilla game. However, there is still reason to be hopeful as Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is also not on the list despite it being released on September 24.
So it may be a mistake not to include Horizon, or simply that they cannot even assure it because in Guerrilla they still have doubts. That said, if the river sounds … It is clear that the study is very short of time to reach 2021, so it does not make much sense to force and that the game arrives incomplete or with problems.
After what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, there are few studies that do not dare to delay a title to avoid greater evils. Therefore, we would bet on the fact that at any time the definitive delay of Horizon Forbidden West is announced to January or February.
