This long-awaited game developed by PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, NieR: Automata). It was originally announced in mid-2018 and for a time it was believed that it had been cancelled. After the disappointing launch numbers of Babylon’s Fall on Steam and Twitch, Square Enix may have regretted not doing just that.
According to the SteamDB website, Babyl on’s Fall
Babylon’s Fall is an action RPG with game-as-a-service elements. That means they plan to keep offering constant updates and new content. Although it still has room to improve and gain popularity, a failure would be a serious blow to Square Enix, as his previous game as a service —Marvel’s Avengers— it was also not as successful as they expected.
The game currently has ‘mixed reviews’ from players on Steam. Most of the negative reviews complain about its high price ($230,000 Colombian pesos) despite having many elements characteristic of free-to-play games. Its graphic quality has also been a point strongly criticized by users, with several people saying that it “looks like PS2”.
Keep an eye on PS5, as we’ll be posting our review of this title soon.
