It is almost a tradition that every CoD is leaked before its official announcement and the 2024 delivery is no exception. Although Xbox Game Studios and Activision are reserving the information, probably for the special presentation in June, a leak has already revealed that the game that would come out in the last quarter of the year would be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
We had already discovered the promotional website TheTruthLies.com and we knew it was related to the next game in this mega-popular war action saga, but images of more promotional material confirming the name of the game are appearing on the internet. The ‘streamer’ Mr.Matthieu published the photo of one of these on his Twitter account.
This image shows a fake edition of the USA Today newspaper revealing the news of the bandages placed over the faces of the presidents of Mount Rushmore, which we had already seen on the promotional website. The leak also shows a logo featuring Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guards the entrance to the underworld in Greek mythology, and the official name of the game: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
In case you’re wondering, there’s no game called Black Ops 5that would be Black Ops Cold War of 2020.
We weren’t supposed to see this promotional material yet, but Activision has never been good at keeping secrets. We’ll have more information about this new game very soon, but what we really want to know is what absurd ‘crossovers’ will there be.
