Since its launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 It has given us something to talk about with the large number of ‘bugs’ that, although they have been fixed over time, have kept other features far from being implemented. This was recently admitted CD Projekt Red, which pointed out that the multiplayer of Cyberpunk 2077 was not (and will not be) added to the game, in addition to announcing that it closes the mobile game of The Witcher: Monster Slayer.

The information regarding Cyberpunk 2077 was revealed after a visit by Eurogamer journalist Robert Purchese to the CD Projekt Red offices. On this occasion, it was admitted for the first time that the disastrous launch of the game ended up sacrificing other projects.
The multiplayer of Cyberpunk 2077 will not see the light

The conversation took place with Philipp Weber, who was a mission designer for Cyberpunk 2077 and now works as a narrative director at the project ‘Polaris’ The Witcher. This spoke directly to the game’s buggy launch, forcing them to focus on fixing everything that was wrong:
“We really needed to see what the priorities were for Cyberpunk (after its release)»
Faced with this, he explained that the priority moved to ensuring that the main experience (the single player mode) ran well. This led to sacrifices being made:
“Essentially, the change in priorities meant that other projects had to go. With Cyberpunk, we wanted to do a lot of things at the same time, and we just need to focus and say, ‘Okay, what’s the important part? Yeah, we’re going to make that part really good.'”
At some point CD Projekt Red was interested in making a multiplayer game exclusive to Cyberpunk. However, later the idea changed to include a multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077something that never happened nor will it happen.
Weber added that the company will continue to make “story-focused AAA single-player RPGs.” Nevertheless, the plan is to eventually roll out online functionality to all franchises as a long-term strategy.
bad news for you too The Witcher: Monster Slayer

That is not all that concerns us at CD Projekt Red. The company recently announced that the mobile game The Witcher: Monster Slayer closes soon. The plan will be to remove it from the Google Play Store and the App Store on January 31, 2023 and disable player access to the application in June of that year.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a title released by the mobile game studio CD Projekt Spokko in July 2021. It uses augmented reality technology to locate the player’s location and display a map with monsters for the player to fight and defeat.
The game will be discontinued to put the studio to work on other projects.
