Square Enix and developer Artdink Corporation (Triangle Strategy) have released new information and images of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D RemakeThese feature the game’s new episodes focusing on the protagonist’s father, Ortega, as well as the game’s world built from scratch in fabulous HD-2D.
This remake contains several new scenes highlighting the protagonist’s father, Ortega, allowing players to better understand the man and his quest. The story also introduces formidable new enemies that will give fans an even richer experience of the narrative. Dragon Quest 3.
Ortega, hero of Aliahan
Voiced by Dave Jones in English and Hiroki Touchi in Japanese, Ortega is the father of the game’s protagonist and one of Aliahan’s finest. Long ago, he set out on a quest to rid the world of the archenemy Baramos, leaving his beloved wife and baby behind. After scouring the realm in search of Baramos, Ortega met an untimely end when he fell into the jaws of a volcano during an epic battle.
HD-2D game world
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake features a world map modeled after our own. Each region boasts its own culture and traditions. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store, with special attention paid to the stunning HD-2D graphics and extra details that have been added just for this remake.
Portoga
A seafaring nation that is home to a bustling port that is filled with the finest shipbuilders. Due to its status as one of the world’s key trading points, there are few better places to be if you need to learn more about the state of the world at any given time. Travel a little south of its shores and you’ll be greeted by a lighthouse where travelers often gather to swap stories.
Jipang
A small island nation known by many names – the land of the rising sun, the golden country, to name a few. It is filled with countless cherry trees and rice paddies. Venture beneath its gigantic shrine gate and you will be greeted by a resplendent mansion.
Ibis
A kingdom surrounded by miles of desert. Ibis has plenty of flora that can only be found in a climate of its kind, and the well within its borders is one of its people’s few precious supplies of water. The nation was originally founded by King Faro and is now ruled by a queen renowned for her beauty.
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store) on November 14.
