Three days ago we found out that On Tuesday, January 17, SNK will kick off Season 2 of The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV). Now, the Osaka company has shared the global changes and adjustments or character balance that will come in patch 1.62 of The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV). These changes, requested in recent months by the community, will be available from Tuesday the 17th at 3:00 AM Colombia time (GMT -5).
What are the main changes it brings to The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV) patch 1.62?
According to SNK, the changes or adjustments made have been especially for players to use other characters. This is one of the changes that many fans of The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV) they were waiting. Since, in most high-level tournaments in order to be competitive, players did not have many options for strong characters. Thanks to this, The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV) —for some players— was getting boring.
In addition to the changes or balance adjustments of the characters of The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV), SNK will implement in patch 1.62 several global and design changes to their fighting title such as:
- The character selection screen will have a new design.
- In an online room you can change the settings before starting the fight.
- Songs from the credits of 15 of the titles in the franchise will be added to the DJ Station.
- The song “Still Green -KOF XV ver” will be added to the DJ Station.
- Made a few other tweaks and fixes to issues with the match announcer.
Global changes to all characters in The King of Fighters XV (KOF XV):
- The power bar will continue to fill up, even if we are in Max mode.
- The ‘hurtbox on characters’ heads no longer moves forward when they are running (dash).
- Additionally, fixed an issue that prevented some characters from taking cover immediately after finishing a dash.
- Crouching Weak Kick “B” will no longer hit airborne opponents.
- The ‘blow back’ will increase the scaling of the combo.
- Cancel guard with ‘blow back’ can no longer be continued with any movement.
- Counter throws will no longer be able to be executed during normal attacks, special moves and recovering from a blow back.
- The distance between characters after a ‘counter throw’ will be the same for all characters.
- All characters except Clark have the same normal horizontal grab range in midair.
- Clark has a larger mid-air horizontal grip range.
- All special moves in the game that are executed with this move “🡪🡫🡶” will have a reduced time to be executed. Thanks to this, errors will be avoided when executing said movement.
- Special grabs that are executed with commands—with a few exceptions—will produce 50 bar of power. Additionally, some of these special grips will have increased recovery frames.
